For new coaches

You're certified. Your practice starts with your first client.

You became a coach to coach, not to assemble a CRM, a funnel, and six subscriptions before client one. Grove gives you the client experience and session workflow that make you look and feel established from day one, sized and priced for a roster of one.

The standard advice for new coaches is to buy the established coach's stack: practice management, scheduling, funnels, automations. Coaches tell us the result is overwhelm before the first client ever arrives, and monthly bills that assume a full roster. Grove starts where your practice actually starts: one coaching relationship done well. Coach yourself first to learn the rhythm, bring on your first client with starter playbooks so nothing begins from scratch, and add the rest of the stack later, if you ever need it.

Who Grove is built for

Coaches at the start of their practice.

  • Newly certified health and wellness coaches (NBHWC, IIN, functional medicine programs) signing their first clients.
  • Coaches in training who need a real place to run practicum clients without buying a full practice-management stack.
  • Career changers building a coaching practice on the side, one or two clients at a time.
Questions, answered

Common questions

I don't have any clients yet. Is Grove still useful?

Yes, and you might be in the best position of anyone. Grove's self-coaching mode lets you be your own first client: set goals, run daily check-ins, build habits, and do weekly reflections on yourself. You learn the rhythm your clients will live in, and when your first client signs, you already know the tool inside out. The free plan covers you plus your first two clients.

How much does Grove cost while I'm starting out?

Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial of the full coaching workflow, no card required. After that, the free plan covers self-coaching plus two clients, and the Starter plan is $29/month for up to five clients. You pay more only when your roster grows. See the pricing page for the full picture.

Do I need a website and a marketing funnel before my first client?

No. Most coaches sign their first clients through people who already know them: cohort-mates, friends of friends, a post in a community they trust. What you need on day one is a professional client experience, somewhere for check-ins, habits, and session notes to live that is not a text thread. That is the part Grove covers, so the stack can wait until the roster justifies it.

I'm still in my certification practicum. Can I use Grove with practice clients?

Yes. Practicum clients are real clients in Grove: daily check-ins, habits, goals, session prep, all of it. It is a good way to graduate with both your certification and a working practice setup, instead of starting your tooling from zero after the exam.

Do my clients need to install an app?

We are currently rolling out a beta iOS app that your clients can use, or they can log in to the client app at app.grove.coach. Email hello@grove.coach to add yourself and your clients to the beta, or to be notified when the iOS app fully launches.
